These terms apply when you access or use RepertoireLab. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Additional checkout, app-store, payment-provider or open-source license terms may apply to the parts of the service they cover.

RepertoireLab is a chess training application for building, organizing, syncing and practicing opening repertoires. The service may include web, Android, iOS or other supported experiences, local storage, cloud sync, spaced repetition, master-game training and public-game analysis.

RepertoireLab is a training and productivity tool. It does not guarantee chess results, rating gains, tournament outcomes or the availability or accuracy of third-party chess databases.

You must be legally able to use online services and enter into these terms in your country. If you are under the required age, you may use RepertoireLab only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

RepertoireLab may offer free access, subscriptions, lifetime access or other paid plans. Current prices, taxes, renewal intervals and plan details are shown at checkout or in the relevant app store. If a price shown inside the app conflicts with checkout, the checkout price controls before purchase.

Web purchases may be processed by Paddle, which may act as reseller or merchant of record. Mobile purchases may be processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat may be used to verify mobile entitlements. RepertoireLab activates paid features based on the entitlement status reported by these providers.

Refunds, statutory withdrawal rights and cancellation rules are described on the Refund Policy page and may also be governed by Paddle, Apple App Store or Google Play. Mandatory consumer rights are not limited by these terms.

You keep your rights in repertoire names, folders, PGNs, opening lines and training data that you add to RepertoireLab. You grant RepertoireLab the limited right to store, process, sync, display, analyze and transmit that content only as needed to operate the service and provide requested features.

Do not upload content that you have no right to use, that violates third-party rights or that contains unnecessary personal information about other people.

RepertoireLab can connect to or request data from third-party services such as Supabase, Paddle, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, Lichess and Chess.com. Those services are controlled by their own operators and may have their own terms, privacy policies, availability limits, API rules and refund processes.

You are responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party account you connect or use with RepertoireLab.

RepertoireLab is provided with reasonable care but without a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, provider outages, app-store delays, network issues and API changes may affect access or features.

RepertoireLab, its code, design, branding, interface and original product content are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms give you a personal, limited, non-transferable right to use the service according to your plan and these terms.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, fraud, mandatory product liability or other liability that cannot be limited by law.

For ordinary negligence, RepertoireLab is liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and only for typical, foreseeable damage, to the extent permitted by law. Outside those cases, liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

You may stop using RepertoireLab at any time and request deletion of your account or cloud data by contacting repertoirelabinfo@gmail.com. Deletion does not automatically cancel app-store subscriptions, Paddle subscriptions, tax records, invoices, chargeback records or data held by third-party providers under their own retention rules.

RepertoireLab may suspend or restrict access where reasonably needed to protect users, comply with law, prevent abuse, address security risks or enforce these terms. Where practical and lawful, affected users will be informed.

RepertoireLab may update these terms for future use when the service, providers, pricing, law or security requirements change. Material changes to ongoing paid use will be communicated where required by law. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

These terms are governed by German law, excluding conflict-of-law rules and excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Consumers keep the mandatory protections of the country where they habitually reside.
